I do not have the Last Daytona 955i 2006 Built
I was told today after my dealer called Triumph I had the VERY LAST Daytona to come off the line in 2006 AND tooling put away. I bought it 3 months ago In Virginia Still in crate. I have riden it 900 miles. I parked it today after finding this out. Scortched yellow with the OEM carbon ,OEM Union jack fairing and carbon high pipe. I was hoping someone here knows the value of something like this, or is there a set range for LAST BIKE end production run bikes in a like new condition. Feed back if you have any Ideas, I would not want to store this 20yrs, but bet it would pay off.
Okay I got hold of Triumph UK. I s not the last Daytona !
Warehouse Triumph USA said it was. I am going with UK.
Was in last run 50. Okay back to ebay...LOL

My advice is ride the living daylights out of it. Own, it ride it and smile.
I don't see that this bike is going to be of any significant extra value now or later.
I see Triumphs greatest weakness is the strength of the resale value of these bikes. This has to be from both poor image building and lack of any significant racing success.
I love these bikes. As road riders bikes they are hard to surpass but they are hard to sell (new or second hand). It explains why the 955i (or 1050) Daytona isn't available on dealership floors.
Just my thoughts

Hands down, my all time favourite sport bike! You are a lucky guy. She's a beauty. I would hang on to her for many years and ENJOY HER. Value is set by market trends -- and the current resale market has de-valued many brands, even HD. The Daytona 955i engine is an engineering work of art that will gain appreciation as time goes on.

SAVAGESPEED, Before such a claim could be made, you'd need some authentication from Triumph in writing. No telling what the future collector's market will be, but I'd hate to miss out on an excellant riding experiance because of speculation.

Kinda cool that you have it, but I can't imagine ever owning any bike and not riding the heck out of it. Even something worth money would be ridden at my house. The only thing I can imagine is maybe Triumph would want it, but I doubt it. Ride it, enjoy it. It's just a machine and was made to be ridden not stored to make a couple grand off of in 20 years. Heck I'm trying to think of how to buy a new motor for a spare for my 06 scorched yellow for a few years down the road when it needs to be replaced.

Thanks for feed back. I was selling it on ebay only because I wanted a Tiger or hoping to get a Rocket Touring. Wife wants to ride along. I pulled it after finding out it was Vin# special. I have had 96 and 99, 98 Limited 1200 Daytonas and 1 96 speed triple. I am all in with Triumph. I posted because, as much as I would want to keep, I was hoping it may help me move into another without incurring a loss on mine. I am thinking I should be able to pull that off. The last corvair brought a bit of change...lol

The last of the great ones...
I tried to have a moment of silence for the Daytona 955's as a tribute to the "last one built". But as I bowed my head and closed my eyes, my 4 year old opened my throttle and the sound snapped me out of it. Hearing that beautiful pop of my Daytona tripple made me want to ride to the factory (across the water) and beg them to spark back up the assembly lines and get the big Daytonas going!

savagespeed, Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I've added them to my triumph pictures.
gteezy, I wish more than any other bike I've had that they would do another big daytona type bike. I like the idea of a small 675 nest year, but it isn't going to be the same as that shiney new 955.

Thank u your right
I made the call to Triumph USA today. I spoke with Peter C. and he is going to try to confirm my dealers statement for me with Triumph UK. A very helpful fellow, As you said no reason to miss out riding a great machine. However it turns out she is a beauty.Thx for the push.
